As a law-abiding citizen of the United States of
America, I am outraged at politicians who will not address the
issue of illegal immigration. Now the whole issue is complicated by
President Bush’s immigration plan (HCN, 2/2/04: Immigration
reform from Washington, D.C.). This plan is not a solution to the
problems and will only escalate this country’s downward
destruction.
The flooding of immigrants to this country,
whether legal or illegal, is more than our system can handle. We
need to close our borders. We need to reduce drastically all
welfare programs as this system is being used and abused. All
illegal immigrants need to be deported immediately. They can then
apply to come to this country legally.
It is time for
good citizens of this nation to stand up with one voice and insist
that our politicians uphold the principles that they swore to when
they took office.
