Institute’s 13th annual land-use conference will be
held in Denver on March 11 and
12. Guest speakers include Carolyn Raffensperger,
director of Science and Environmental Health Network, and Hal
Clifford, executive editor of The Orion Society; panels range from
“Land Use Decisions and Water Quality” to “Smart Growth, Nimbyism
and the Public Interest: A Report Card.”

Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. The event
will feature 75 films, including both brand-new films and historic
and classic works, as well as discussions with the artists. Prices
range from $5 for a single matinee to $50 for an all-screenings

Contest. This year’s topic is “Reconciling Boomers
