Dear HCN,
We are so delighted when
HCN arrives in our mailbox. It provides
well-written and excellent information – though often disturbing –
about our changing world and Western landscapes. Some of these
changes are very positive, however, like the most recent article
about the Salish and Kootenai tribes whose stewardship principles
should be carried as a business card by our public lands managers,
as well. We intend to contact the tribes and ask for a sample to
give to our local Forest Service and BLM folks.ÊAnd then there
was the Sierra Army Depot article; though we live less than a
hundred miles from Herlong, we were completely ignorant of the
activities. Thanks for the contact numbers * they’ll hear from us.
We appreciate your coverage and your style. Many
thanks.
