Recent road closures on Idaho’s Targhee National Forest, intended to protect grizzly bear habitat, have stirred up massive local resistance. The forest is taking public comments through Feb.1 on a draft environmental impact statement for a plan to guide off-road vehicle use on forest roads and trails.
